As the two pigs - rescued by famed animal lovers Jon and Tracey Stewart - were making good progress on depleting their hay through rapid nibbling, the barn door opened to reveal one of their bipedal friends dressed in a ridiculously loud red-and-white outfit.

"Ho ho ho!" their friend, who happened to be Tracey Stewart, belted out. "You now know that I'm real!" she quipped and laughed, carrying a bright green package into the barn.

Anna and Maybelle know that their bipedal friends sometimes act totally wacky - but they are happy to reap the benefits. As Santa/Stewart handed over their gift, the pigs began to poke at it with their noses, and noticed a promising aroma emanating from the box.

So they did what any sensible, rational animal would do: They tore that shit open.

Inside, they discovered fresh, perfectly sliced red and green apples.

And they wasted no time in enjoying them.

"Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!" Stewart shouted, rubbing the girls as they ate.

The Stewarts are teaming up with Farm Sanctuary to open a fourth location of Farm Sanctuary in New Jersey.

Yeah, life at these sanctuaries - with all the quirky humans and their weird, inexplicable rituals -is full of benefits.
