Husky Helps Rehabilitate Rescued Meerkat With Cuddle Therapy

The Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge is a Namibian resort with quite a guest roster. A number of wild meerkats roam the property at their leisure, but the hotel also maintains a rehabilitation unit for the little grey mammals. While humans play a primary role in helping wild meerkats prepare to return to their respective homes, the Rostock rehab also has another helper assisting the rescues: Bond, a Siberian Husky. Bond's interaction with the meerkats is just one (adorable) example of interspecies rehabilitation: dogs have been known to nurse kittens, cats to nurse puppies, and humans are wont to rely on non-human animals in their own rehab processes. Perhaps it's the best kind of medicine.
