Generally, puppies and adult dogs have an adoption fee of $600; senior dogs have an adoption fee of $350.

However, fees are at the discretion of the rescue, as some may be higher to offset the medical costs of the dog or some of our emergency cases. The standard adoption fees covers only a portion of the expense the rescue spends on the medical care, housing, and transport of each rescue dog.

Lucky Dog Refuge provides spay and neuters for dogs over 8 months of age and all age-appropriate core vaccines up until the point of adoption. Core vaccines for dogs include: canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies. Non-core vaccines (such a Leptospirosis and Lyme) are given at the adopter’s expense & discretion depending on the dog's exposure risk.
