New Enclosure for Rescued Mini-cows
Donation protected
UPDATE!! Yesterday we welcomed 2 very special new residents, 3-day old calves from a pharmaceutical laboratory!!
These babies were ripped from their mothers at birth to be used for their newborn blood and then unceremoniously discarded. But lucky for these 2, they made a 7 hour car ride to find Life After Labs® instead!!
Two weeks ago, New Life Animal Sanctuary agreed to take in 2 mini-cows who were scheduled to be butchered the following day. They had been bottle-fed and raised by a family who had no qualms about ending their lives, right there in the backyard that the cows knew as their only home.
Today, instead of being sliced up and served as dinner, they are safe and happy here and have been named Nelson and Gandhi. But this was a very last minute, emergency, rescue and we are not set up for cows so they are in small temporary pens which we literally set up while the boys waited on the trailer to unload.
We have already spent about $2000 on the corral panels for their temporary pens, Nelson's castration (Gandhi had already been castrated), and other supplies. And we still need to build them a permanent shelter and enclosure. Please help us give these sweet, friendly boys the beautiful life they deserve!!
*** A generous, anonymous donor has come forward with a $4000 matching grant so all contributions are doubled until we meet our goal!! ***
Donors of $500 or more are welcome to come meet Nelson and Gandhi in person and we're pretty sure they will show their appreciation with sweet kisses or at least pose for pictures with you!
All donors will be listed on a sign on the new enclosure!
Or you can sponsor one of the boys by setting up a recurring donation of $40 a month through PayPal: donations @ newlifeanimalsanctuary.org (take out the spaces).
You can also send hay or make a general contribution to our account at the local feed store by calling your credit card in:
