KANGALA Kangaroo & wildlife rescue.

⭐️We need your help!⭐️

Kangala Wildlife Rescue is an Australian registered charity, we have so many calls & rescues coming in all throughout the year and since the horrific bushfires that rocked our island. With no government funding here, we are struggling to finish the sanctuary since those fires  & continue to give the much needed support to the community, animals in our care & emergency rescues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We run completely on peoples kindness, to continue to rescue our Australian wildlife & help others in need, every little bit can help save a little life.❤️xx

We do emergency call outs for wildlife & specialise in the care & treatment of kangaroos from tiny pinky stage to adult, using intensive care units. We run totally on the kindness of donations to survive as there is no government assistance.

We are still working on finishing the sanctuary fencing, while also helping  other carers & volunteers in need when we can, on KI, Australia & even overseas. Thank you so much for everyone’s continued support we couldn’t save these little lives or help anyone without you all!!!❤️❤️xx

.

Thank you so much, our Kangala family are all amazing volunteers. Our rescue work & the bushfires survivors at Kangala, rely totally on the kindness of donations.

This fundraiser will help us to continue to be available for emergency animal rescues, to do much needed food drops & water stations for starving wildlife, care for injured wildlife in our care, housing, food, medical needs & help us to save for the much needed sanctuary fencing & help any other carers in need.

We so appreciate you taking the time to read and share our family’s story.❤️

My family and I live on Kangaroo Island, Australia. As most people
know in December and January Kangaroo Island was devastated by
horrific bushfires that destroyed half the Island and killed thousands
upon thousands of wildlife and left many injured and needing desperate help. As wildlife carers we felt so helpless seeing all the pain and suffering these
unstoppable fires were causing. So as a family, with the fires
still burning, my husband, 2 children & I started searching for and rescuing animals out on the fire
grounds and today our search is still continuing.  At present we have
travelled over 10,000 km and helped rescue a total so far of 143
koalas, 10 possums, 2 wallabies and 13 kangaroos. I have included a link to a video below that my 15 year old daughter made that shows some of what our summer has involved and the many animals we have helped.

As well as continuing to rescue the now starving koalas, we also
currently have 7 orphaned kangaroo joeys as well other animals that we are caring for at our property. The majority of the kangaroos were
found extremely under weight and starving, due to losing their
mothers in the fires and then left to find their own way of survival.
Due to the extensive destruction of the bushfires this year and the
trauma these kangaroos have already endured, we have decided to create a safe forever home where these precious animals can be released back into the wild but in safety, without the usual dangers of roads and shooting.

We have 80 acres of property on Kangaroo Island with beautiful bushland, wetland and grassland, which will be a perfect area
for our present and future kangaroos and will also be used by other wildlife carers to release their rescued animals.

We will be fencing the boundary with Kangaroo fencing and turn the
area into a safe haven for Kangaroos and other rescued wildlife but
unfortunately this comes with a substantial cost. The cost for
material alone is about $40,000 to fence the 2.65 kms of boundary
fencing and we have already commenced construction of a soft release
enclosure and other small enclosures for use in care, treatment and
pre release.  All donations will be used towards rescuing, housing, feeding and medical treatment of rescued wildlife.

We have been quietly going about our rescues but if we want to continue to help these beautiful joey's long term and provide a safe place for all rescues we now realise we need a little help to house these
beautiful creatures and continue our koala rescue work.

Any support is greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and so do the animals we are able to help.❤️
